Check your local Credit Union.

Credit Unions usually offer really good rates...you can open up an account with them if you do find a good rate. Good Luck!

You don't need to necessarily be a member - I know Bethpage Federal Credit Union you just need to either live on LI or be employed on LI. (Check their site for details.)
We compared them with the bank where we have our checking/savings - they were able to give us the best rate since we are already a client.

I'm not on LI, so I'd have to find a union that offers membership to the public.
Any other suggestions?

Re: who has the best car loan rates?
I just looked on Bankrate and Chase is advertising 36mo used loan rates at 5.56% with a .25% discount if you auto-debit ($75 fee which maybe you can get waived).
So I would go into a Chase branch and ask them.

You can't finance it through the car leasing place? That might be an option for you as well.
