I have renters insurance through Allstate. I pay $170 a yr and I have way more coverage than I need.

Re: who has the best deal on apartment insurance?
mine was tricker b/c I live on the water- it made it harder to get- I have met life and with an extra $50K to cover all my shoes, bags and clothing I pay $26 a month- or $312 a year
other wise it was only a $25K policey- which I didn't think would cover everything- when I sat down and thought about it- that wasn't going to be enough to replace 2 people clothes, all the furniture- and all the stuff I got at my shower

Re: who has the best deal on apartment insurance?
4 years ago I had State Farm for renters insurance and it was $70 for the year for actual replacement cost not the depreciated value of the stuff one.
eta: this policy covered 50K in losses. I had just graduated from college and did not have tons of stuff, but it was more for peace of mind than anything else.

Re: who has the best deal on apartment insurance?
We use Allstate....our auto is with them too and we get an additional mulitple policy discount. We had Travelers through where I work...even with ME getting the commissions because I'm licensed it still was cheaper for us to go with Allstate - not to mention we have more coverage like SweetestOfPeas said.

This is what we have. They send statements every month. It's about $30 and change p/mth.

Re: who has the best deal on apartment insurance?
I had coverage for contents to $25K on my co-op. I had it with Travelers along with my auto and it was only $16 a month. I had a separate policy for jewelry because of the value.

Re: who has the best deal on apartment insurance?
state farm was about $210/yr. I had a jewelry rider for about another $80/yr.
It's all the same more of less. State Farm-Allstate, Geico..they should all be competitive.
