Re: Who has the best deals on applicances?
Someone posted a site awhile ago that you can go to and get a great price, better than the store prices. I can't recall the site though, I'm not even sure how to do a search for it. It was awhile ago though, at least 2 years bc we were gettingg all new kitchen appliances at the time and the prices really were great. My DH gets a discount at PC Richards bc of his job and the prices on the site were comparable to the discount he was receiving, which was much better than the regular prices. Maybe someone else will remember the name of the site.
ETA: I just searched using the word appliance (imagine that!) and i found it. Here it is:

You will definitely get the best price at PC Richards if you haggle with them. Probably better than even online prices if the sales guy is in the mood to give you a deal.

You can definately talk PC Richards down, I think more than the rest. DH was able to get 10% off a Weber (that wasn't on sale) PLUS $50 off b/c that's what he told them he could get at HD. PLUS they gave us free utensils for the grill .

Try to catch a good sale. We waited for Sears to have a really good sale and a few weeks ago they were having a 1-day sale on Saturday - 20% off if you buy 3 or more appliances. PLUS maytag was having their own sale also so we are getting back an additional $400 from them!

Re: Who has the best deals on applicances?
Def shop around. First take an account of what appliances you need to buy. then research them online and try to buy them all together. I have found that when you buy them all together, you get a better deal on them. Also, if you buy several pieces from the same manufacturer, you can get more manufacturer's rebates.
There are also a ton of sites online that charge a very small delivery fee (some charge none), but you're cutting out the middle man, so that's why the prices are so good.

i heard capuano gives contractor prices.... that's where my dad sends all his customers. He suggests people shop around first- lowes, hd, etc- and then go to capuano
