Who has the Optimum Online DVR box?
Quick question...Is it an attachment to the existing cable box or is it a completely different box altogether?

It's its own box...you attach it to the TV like a regular cable box.

so if i wanted to add this i dont have to bring my cable box down to cablevision right? i can just go pick up the DVR box?
i only ask cause when we got the HD box we had to bring in the old box and get a new one.

yup and it was very simple to hook up. best investment we've made, i love it.

If you want the DVR box you would need to replace your existing box with a DVR box. SO you would have to bring the old box to cablevision and get a DVR box. HTH

No, it is it's own box, but you have to bring the old box to Cable and exchange it for the DVR Box - which hooks up to your TV directly (just like the box you have now)

TIVO is a seperate box. DVR from Cablevision IS your cable box. You have to bring in the cable box you are using now and exchange it for the DVR box

You can exchange or add a new box
Fee is 10 per month for DVR...
Each box on the account is 5 per month
There is a DVR box (SA 4300) and a different HD DVR box. (SA 8300)
Totally worth it IMO
