Who is hiring? Full time or part-time
My mom is in desperate need of a job. She has applied to so many places and she can't find anything. Does anyone know someone who is hiring? She is a mom returning to the work force after 25 years. She would do great in sales, customer service, retail.....she is living in mid Suffolk county and super flexible. Thanks so much

Since you mentioned retail, I received an email that Pier 1 is hiring.
Good Luck

This may be random but how about Sur La Table in Lake Grove? I feel like stores like Sur La Table, Williams & Sonoma, etc. are great for older women.

Try home care agencies for staffing/scheduling coordinators.
Older people who tend to be mature and can handle stress and problem solve, who have worked before are often welcomed for these kind of roles.

Tell her to try any bank or credit union. They are always looking for tellers or receptionists.
Or maybe look into working for a doctors office.

This is a good one. My MIL used to manage several locations and said it was so hard to find quality help. Most people who applied were young girls with no people skills who would call out, or have a hissy fit if they had to work a weekend shift or the later afternoon shifts during the week.
She also said that many younger people would show up to work hung over without a clear head. She always used to say she wished someone older and mature would apply!!

Re: Who is hiring? Full time or part-time
Thank you everyone for the ideas. I will check them all out. I'm signing my mom up for a computer class atbthe library. Hoping and praying she gets hired soon. My brother and sister along with my husband and I are pretty much taking care of her financially right now.
