Who picked your closing date?
I am so stressed and panicking...the sellers and I had agreed on a closing date of the 26th...I thought that was all we had to do and then I needed to schedule my lawyer...the seller is a RE laywer.
I called the lawyer today to find out if they knew where and when the closing was set for and they informed me that they were responsible for setting the day, etc.
Who set your date?
They don't seem to think it is going to be a problem keeping our original date of the 26th...we have been in contract since June 27th, so what could be the hold up?
The lawyer works for me...shouldn't I tell him when and where???

The date has to be agreed upon by all parties, the bank, all attorneys, sellers, buyers, etc...

It's usually your bank which dicates the process - when and where. The lawyers don't determine where it will be.

It looks like the closing is going to be on the 25th...the bank lawyer didn't want to do it on a Friday...he usually takes Fridays off during the summer!!!!
Oh well!!! I get my house one day earlier! Less than 2 weeks to go...I can't wait.

Ditto!! Both set of lawyers and parties involved compromised on a date that worked best for them.
