Who watched Kitchen Nightmares last night?
I just don't know how these morons get hired as resturant managers. I couldn't stand that guy last night. How hard is it to remember 4 steaks. Out of your comfort zone? Are you kidding me? What a tool. What did everyone else think?

Unfortunately, I can't offer an opinion as I was too busy watching Gossip Girls and I didn't think to DVR it.

What I don't understand is that you have a world class chef come into your restaurant, tell you your food sux, and then suggest what you should do to improve your establishment and then say you don't think he knows what he is talking about.

If I was Gordon I would have packed up shop at that time. I would have told him he was a moron and left. I did like Gordons quote about how he knows how the food is by the phone ringing for reservations.

Re: Who watched Kitchen Nightmares last night?
I saw it- I live in that area & have been to that restuaraunt. I recognized the mnager, but didn't know he was so easily rattled!
The owner is also a small time actor. He has has small parts on soaps, so I think a lot of the tension is played up, as it is with all of the types of shows.
Before it aired, I told my freind about it & he said,"I used to like that place, but now it's a steak house" So, I guess not everyone is thrilled with the changes.

Re: Who watched Kitchen Nightmares last night?
I was watching it - but it didn't seem as thrilling to me as the last time. I think they definitely need to switch it up now and I think they are doing that by going to LA...it was getting a little old with stereotypical new yorkers. But overall, I like the show!

Re: Who watched Kitchen Nightmares last night?
Awww I felt bad for the manager. He seemed sweet.
I thought the chef should have been canned. If the food was bad why would you keep him?
The owner was a hot-headed j-off. Sooo annoying and I found him to be a bit unappreciative.

Restaurant managers are not supposed to be sweet though. He was such a tool. He had no professionalism whatesoever and I could have run circles around him!
What's with all the loser managers on this show? Don't the owners realize these people are helping to KILL their businesses?

Re: Who watched Kitchen Nightmares last night?
I went to school with the owner
The manager was horrible, like someone else said how hard is it to memorize 4 cuts of meat.
Chef Gordon is a bit abrasive but that is why her is there

I was dying when the hostess said the chef did a good job trying to "presentate" the food!
I don't think the bad food was the entirely chef's fault. He knew stuff was bad, b/c he was doing too much, but htey mad ehimserve it anyway, b/c it was takignto loong. And he seemed to be able to implement Gordon's changes.
I didn't think the food was awful--I just thoguht it was overpriced for what it was. I did drink a lot of champagne both times though!
ETA- I just head that Tom isn't there anymore, but there is a GM named Thomas listed on the website, so I'm not sure.

Re: Who watched Kitchen Nightmares last night?
I get so angry when these retaurant owners doubt Gordon's suggestions. He OBVIOUSLY knows whathe's doing, and is there to help. I think it's a male machismo thing.
