Re: Who won? Obama or McCain

I think Obama won, but that this was McCain's best debate.

Re: Who won? Obama or McCain

I think it was fairly even with it leaning toward Obama. I was impressed that McCain woke up.

I hated McCain's arrogance and smugness though. it was as good as walking all over the place like he did at the town hall last week. Distracting at best but at least he did something.

They say that McCain's arrogance is part of his appeal. I read his supporters feel we need someone with that attitude to run this country. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I agree- we are hated by other countries in part because we are seen as arrogant. I like that Obama has a presence that is authoritative, not full of himself.

Obama comes off as arrogant to me too, although it is sort of in a different way.

Definitely Obama, eventhough I don't think it was his best debate.

McCain avoided answering too many of the questions and just slammed Obama, over and over. I felt I heard very little of his plans last night, but I did hear more of them from Obama.

Re: Who won? Obama or McCain

I think Obama won, I think McCain started out strong, but totally lost it when they started discussing the negative campaing, he sounded very whiny.

I agree but this basically says nothing./ McCain comes across like a whiny little boy. he does not give Obama the respect of facing him or looking at him when he speaks. I keep expecting him to come out with "I know you are but what am I?" or somthing like that. His stupid fake laughs and interruptions make him look like a total idiot.

Obama could win (as conservative Rush Limbaugh says) with "1/2 his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair." To me, there is no contest.

Neither of their total plans wil come into play since it is not up to them in the end.

Re: Who won? Obama or McCain

def. Obama. I felt McCain's attitude was a little uncalled for at some points. He did a little better than previously though.
