Congrats & good luck!! I just landed a job in nassau county, and these are the questions they asked:
Tell us about yourself
If your Principal could describe you in 3 words, what would they be?
Can you define and give examples of differentiated instruction vs modification?
What is your standpoint on HW? (This question was from the Parent on the panel- she then asked how I felt about sending HW that the student couldnt do)
How would you prepare your students for the tests?
What is your idea of classroom management?
Some others: Why should we choose you over them?
Who is your favorite childhood author?
Who is your favorite adult author?
And i went on 1 interview before that and the one question that got me was:
"Tell us what you know about our district and why you want to work here"
Good luck!!!

Re: Whoo Hoo!!!!!!!
i like the above post with the questions...
they will ask about differntiation and modification. they will also ask about assessment... do you know how to assess, both informally and formally. for formal assessment they may ask you what tests do you know (i.e. Woodcock Johnson, TOWL, key Math, etc.)
they may also ask reading questions for students with LD or reading issues... how would you teach reading to this students??? what do you know about multi-sensory reading programs (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, etc.)
Also, collaboration is KEY in sp. ed. you may be a resourde room teacher (pushing in other teachers' classes) or a full inclusion...working with someone else in co-teach situation. Also, collaborating with related service providers is key... they want to know that you're flexible and can work with others. Know how to articulate how you will collaborate with others on the team.
overall, mention how you would teach using a kinesthetic, visual approach to learning and give examples of how you would do that.

Re: Whoo Hoo!!!!!!!
Take a look at MrsYanks post, they ask: Why should we hire you in our district? I am a special education teacher also, I know how difficult and scary this is. Good Luck!

Re: Whoo Hoo!!!!!!!
I just interviewed in June, and one of the more interesting questions I got was:
Tell us about a lesson you planned that didn't go well. What did you do?
I thought that was a good one for seeing how a job candidate thinks on her feet, and apparently it's a pretty common question.
Good luck!
