Whoopi, Sherri Shepherd Join ‘The View’
Comedians Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd are joining The View next season, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Final negotiations for the comic duo are underway and an official announcement is expected next week. The current View hosts include Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The other strong contender was comedian Kathy Griffin.
Whoppi and Sherri guest co-hosted The View together earlier this month — Monday, July 9.

I LOVE Whoopi, but I think they are making a misake.
Elizabeth is the young one
JOY is the Comedian.
Star was the lawyer (analytical)
Meredity was the journalist (intellect).
Now they have
Elizabeth is the young one.
Joy is the comedian.
Whoppi is the comedian.
Sherri SHepherd is the comedian.
So we are still missing anyone with an intelligence/intellectual and analytical background.

I love Sherri Shepard!! She is so funny. She used to be on the Sarah Rue show Less Than Perfect. She was Roberts partner on Everybody Loves Raymond.
And if you are a Friends fan. She was in the epsiode where Joey worked at the museum. She told the Dr "I shared my pudding with you man...I gave you my snack pak"

I was actually hoping this would be the combo. I think the four of them have great rhythm together.
I like that Sherri will talk about ANYTHING. Whoopi has a lot of the same political views as Rosie, so she brings a different political take to the table.

I was actually really rooting for Kathy Griffin. I know some find her annoying but I happen to adore her. Very quick witted and funny. She would also be a good "liberal" voice now that Rosie is gone. From what I heard, the other ladies never really took to her. Not very big on either Whoopi or Sherri.

I heart Kathy Griffin. I am not a liberal, BUT I love when she does her sthick about celbs. It is hilarious. I am addicted to her show my life on the D list.
ETA: I love sherri sheppard and Whoopi is not horrible.
