Who's been to Disney with an almost 2 year old?
We're planning on going for 2 days while we're in FL visiting my dad. I'm thinking we might only go to the magic kingdom. I'd like to stay on Disney property. Can you tell me where you stayed? Any tips or recommendations? Thanks!

We stayed at the contemporary in September, it was great because the monorail is in the hotel and the magic kingdom was like a stop away

We are thinking of taking Jack when Dh gets home so probably right around Christmas. He'll be 19 months. I'll let you know how it goes!

Re: Who's been to Disney with an almost 2 year old?
I've taken Caiden there 3 times already! The first time he was 20 months old, 2nd time he was 29 months old 3rd time was 2.5 yrs old.
We stayed with my sister but also stayed at the Saratoga Springs resort. My sister has a timeshare there. It's beautiful. They even have a kiddie water slide in one of the pools that Caiden loved. I highly recommend that place. It is a Disney World Resort.
We went to all of the parks except the water parks because he's too little. But his favorite place was Magic Kingdom. There is so much stuff for them to do there. There's only 1 or 2 things for him to do at the other parks, so if you're only going for a couple of days I would definitely go to Magic Kingdom.
When were you thinking of going?

we stayed at a marriott resort. It was GREAT, lots to do for the kids, huge suites, and close to everything.
we hope to go again next year with 3 this time

We went when Andrew was one. He was a wee too young for anything! WE also stayed in a villa at the Saratoga Springs resort. We took their buses to all the attractions.

Re: Who's been to Disney with an almost 2 year old?
We went in May, Sydney was almost 3 and Daniel was 20 months. We stayed at the Grand Floridian, which was wonderful, but the monorail, was the only + for the kids. I wish we had stayed at the Port Orleans, they have a lovely area with a playground for a little "down time" It was a very different vacation, but I am glad we went, they won't remember, but I will.

Re: Who's been to Disney with an almost 2 year old?
I just went a few weeks ago (Hayley was 13 months), we stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside. It is very nice, I would stay there again. If you are only going to the Magic Kingdom, I would suggest staying at a hotel that has the monorail (Polynesian, Contemporary & Grand Flordian). It will be so much easier for you to get to the park.

We're going the first week of Dec. Since we're only doing 2 days, I think your suggestions about a monorail hotel are great. I def. want easy access. Can you tell me what attractions were great for DC? Thanks so much for everyones help!

Re: Who's been to Disney with an almost 2 year old?
We went when Dd was just about 2 . The cheaper Disney hotels all, have bus access to get to the monirail . We stuck to Magic Kingdom and avoided Sleeping beauty( the witch would have freaked her out) . We also did the charater Lunch with Winnie the Pooh and friends and it was great . We went to MGM to see the playhouse Disney show which was great and did the great movie ride which she loved.
