who's used priceline?
How does it work? I name my price. Put in my credit card #. What happens if they don't accept my offer?

I used it once when I had to go on a business trip when I still was in PR. I screwed it up royally thank God it wasn't my money.

I wasn't sure how to use it. I acted to quickly...It was a mess. I am still not sure how it works.

I used it once after 9/11 when I was desperate to get home to NY from LA?
I started at 50 bucks (as a goof) and it doesn't charge you unless they accept it unless it's changed.
I would up upping it to like 175 and got flights. You have no choice on what airline or time, but at the time I could care less. I decided on a Thursday to fly home Friday...and I paid 175 roundtrip from LAX to JFK.

I've used it for both flights and hotels. I've had good experiences each time. Like Kelly said, you name your own price and if it's not accepted, then there is no charge to you. If it is accepted, the flight info will appear and your card will be charged.

I have used it for hotel (when I just wanted a place near the airport for example) and for cars. My sister had very bad luck with a crack-house holet in Miami so I won't use it for hotels unless I know what ones are in the area.
But great for cars, and probably for flights too - but I am usually on a tight schedule so haven't used it for flights.

Me too!
I have used it more often for hotels than for airfare and have been really happy with my experience. We've saved up to 50% off hotel rooms and have stayed at gorgeous hotels.

I've used it..........only use the name your own price feature if your serious about booking....once you offer a price and it is accepted there is no backing out......
