Whose name goes on the shower invite envelope when the invitations are mailed?
My maid of honor is organizing. Should my name go on the invitation envelope or is it supposed to be hers?
I just don't want anyone to throw the invitation out, in case they don't know her.
For most of my friends, I am the first baby shower they will ever attend. We are all clueless with this stuff.

NM.. I misread your question.
I put my name as the return address on the envelope.
I hosted my sisters' baby shower. Her name was on the invitation, but my name was also as the host and person to RSVP to. Just like when I hosted her bridal shower.

When you send the invitation, I'm wondering whose name should be the return address on the envelope that is mailed.
The actual invitation has my name on it. My MOH ordered the invitations and they are ready to be mailed. We just didn't know whose name we should put on the actual envelope that is mailed.
My friend is organizing. My family is paying for the shower. Don't know if it matters who is paying for it.

I edited my response because I misread your question.
My name and address was on the return label on the envelope. Didn't cause any problems. I didn't know all of my sisters 70 friends she invited and nobody threw out the invite because they didn't recognize the return address.

ok, nobody is going to not open an invitation addressed to them if they don't know the return address name. Plain and simple.
Don't worry about stuff like that. You're gonna drive yourself crazy. Sorry, JMO though.

The host's name and address should be on the envelope's 'return address'
