wht yogurt to u feed ur baby and is it okay to give trader joes organic full fat *fruit* yogurt?
I've been giving ds yobaby but today I tried tjs apple full fat yogurt. Then I noticed it had 11 grams of sugar and needless to day he loved it! I went and looked at yobaby and that seems to hav sugar too. Then a did a search and realized many people only do plain yogurt. What do u use and why?

we use yobaby b/c thats what my ped recommended but I've given her other kinds if we are out..

I gave him plain yogurt and mixed in fruit baby food or veggie.
Once he got a little older (like 16-18 months) I started giving him a bigger variety of yogurts.

DS is 17 months and I give him yobaby, plain full fat greek yogurt mixed with baby food fruit or veggies, or mango greek yogurt (also TJ's).

I started with all varieties of yobaby but then realized the sugar and expense and switched to just getting a big tub of full fat organic plain yogurt like stonyfield farms or hawthorne valley. She likes it just as much.

me too!
i now use the plain and add a touch of honey and cut up some fresh fruit and throw it in there.
in your case, i would mix his baby food fruit in there.

I buy Trader Joe's organic yogurt. Before DD turned two I bought full fat, now I get lowfat. There was a time when I mixed the plain with Earth's Best fruit puree, but now I just buy vanilla and strawberry.

I use to use Yo Baby when my DD was little but now we buy her Stonyfield Organic Low Fat yogurt in Banilla flavor. She LOVES it! I pay between $3-4 for a 32oz container which lasts a while.

I use full fat greek yogurt and just mix one of her purees in. The other day I actually put it on some (baked) potato for her though b/c to me it tasted like sour cream lol! She loves it either way.

i thought that the yo baby had a lot of sugar for a baby food so I did the plain yogurt with baby fruit mixed in for both my kiddies! They both ate it up and still do almost 3 yrs later

DS is now almost 17 months. I buy whatever is on sale. He loves all brands & flavors of yogurt. I gave YoBaby in the beginning (when he was like 6-8 months) but now, whatever is on sale.

I gave organic whole milk then added in some earth's best fruit rather than the yobaby when we are home b/c it has less sugar. But I use yobaby when we go out b/c easier to carry. With DD#1 I used plain yobaby and mixed in fruit but this time around I couldn't find and plain.

I did the same thing...I think it is fine. DS LOVES the Trader Joe's Yogurt. I don't really give him any other sugar so I think it is okay in moderation. You are giving DS 4oz yogurts, I guess?
