Why

shouldn't babies have more than 30 oz of formula/ day?

Nate also has about 36oz a day. When I told the doctor how much he was fed, he didn't say anything.

Jack drinks more then 30 a day and my doc is fine with it. He told me he wants to hold off on cereal till Jack is 4 months and then move to fruits and veggies.

WOW Ok then I am not going to worry! My doc said no more than 30 oz and he usually has at least 36.. sometimes more.

My Dr said no more than 32 oz. When Cassidy was drinking more than that, they introduced cereal a nd cut down the amount of formula she got. I'm not too sure of the reasoning behind it though.

My dr said no more than 32 oz. I have hear dr who say no more than 40oz. Depends on the dr. I started solids when Kevin wanted more than 32 oz (before 4 months) because he is a big eater. He is also strictly formula fed. Dr said it had something to to with the amount of iron coming from the formula and something to do with milk in years to come but didn't get too detailed. Sorry I can't give a better explanation.

my doc said that you can never over feed a baby- I dont know how true that is but thats what he said.

Thats probably it.. that they shouldnt have more than a certain amount of iron.
