Why am I having such a hard time finding CHUNKY stage 3 food
Earths best only has a couple and I dont want to do meat in a jar. I just bought a couple from happy baby and some from plum but most of them are not chunky and ds wants nothing to do with smooth food since I had been sharing our food with him. I dont really have a lot of time to make my own food but Im thinking thats my only option, Any suggestions??

Re: Why am I having such a hard time finding CHUNKY stage 3 food
I agree... we do only organics and Earth's Best had like 5 good stage 3 foods and Plum and the others had no good ones at all. I was bummed because I would look down the aisle and see that Gerber and a great variety of stage 3 and toddler meals but Gerber is owned by Nestle and has horrible practices so even their organics I wouldn't buy for DS.
I did however start buying him organic soups. It was as close to a stage 3 as I could find and he LOVED them or the Earth's Best soups or pastas, they are in the cans next to the stage 3 foods at BRU. We go to BJ's and get a box of cans of Amy's Organic veggie soups, they have lentils, peas, tomatoes, and SO many other veggies. We buy the chicken noodle too, chicken and wild rice, etc etc. Wolfgang Puck has an organic brand, Amy's, and Muir Glen I think it's called. We buy them on sale. DS is now 14 mths and off of jars but I still use the soups for lunches now and then. The meat is softer but in big cubes so I just cut them in halves or thirds. Besides that, it was a lifesaver for me.

Sprout Baby Food makes a butternut squash + macaroni cheese that is chunky. They also make a multigrain with berries (or something like that) that is chunky. The foods are stage 3. Good luck!

I don't know the answer to the question but I can sympathize.
A few months ago I was in the same boat and I also was wary of Gerber.
I was lucky because he had so many teeth quickly - he's had 16 for a while and he's not even 19 months yet - so he's been on regular food for a while.
But yeah, after stage 2 the pickings are slim.

Re: Why am I having such a hard time finding CHUNKY stage 3 food
For fruits I do bananas, they are mushy and other mushy fruits like strawberries we also do applesauce, I do Plum pouches, DS likes to slurp them right out of the pouch he has since around 8-9 months but my niece is 10 months and can't do that because she doesn't get the straw suction thing yet. I also bought frozen organic fruits at BJ's and made a smoothie out of them, where it's still a bit chunky. I just add water, for me I add yogurt too but DS has a milk allergy.
We also do pancakes for breakfast and a banana or toast and a fruit. I get guacamole and dip little pieces of chicken in it with a side of mushy veggies like corn or peas. I HATE cooking so I know what you mean but Trader Joes was a lifesaver. They have frozen stuff and stuff in the refrigerated section that I just pop open and feed DS. They have chicken burgers that I cut up really small, edamame nuggets that are really soft, spinach pancakes, etc.
