I definitely did! BUT, I have to say, when they got around 8 or 9 months, I got excited for the next stage. I love that they interact with me now, and hug me, and will soon walk and talk. True, they are not babies anymore, but this stage is so great too - and lots more to look forward to!!! AND the older they get, the sooner I can have another one.

DS is 8mo too and we're seeing him change every day. It's exciting but sad because I feel like I missed a lot of the early time (tough job). Now I see the same thing in DH's eyes now that he's in a similar situation.
The thing that's making it easy is with every new thing he does he gets more happy.

I just put away Cailen's swing... I cant believe he outgrew that already!!!! I know what you mean, but I agree with ladies - there is something so exciting about watching him grow to the next stage!!!!

I know how you feel, I'm doing the same thing. I put away those little clothes and the swing, playgym and bouncer are next. We just lowered the crib a few days ago too.
It's sad but exciting at the same time. They are getting bigger and their personalities are getting brighter!

Re: Why am i having the hardest time moving to the next stage in my sons life
DS will be 2 in 3 months and I look forward to all that lies ahead. I love that he interacts with me and each day he amazes me more by what he learns and does. I was not a fan of the infancy stage, so no, I do not miss those days. Just look forward to the future. Getting hugs and kisses from them, hearing them say "I love you"... you are normal to feel the way you do but just think of all the yumminess that you have to look forward to!!!!
