Why am I too chicken to tell work I'm pregnant???

Seriously, i just can't tell them. I must have walked past my boss's office about 10 times today and then I just chicken out and keep on walking. I'm not scared they're going to do anything, like fire me or anything. I guess this office is just very....private. Even though it's big, everyone keeps to themselves, no one is really interested in other people's lives...so I feel almost...embarrassed, telling them something so personal. It's just going to be awkward I know it, and I hate awkward.

I need to grow some you-know-whats...Chat Icon

I was very nervous about telling work, especially since the last two women who got pregnant didn't return after having babies. I was pleasantly surprised by everyone's reaction. Good luck! Chat Icon

haha I felt the same way, I almost felt like a little girl going into my male boss and shutting the door and telling him, do it before lunch time that way you tell him and then you leave for lunch, that's what I did. Once you do it you will feel so much better that it's out there.

lol, that's totally how I feel. And I really have ZERO relationship with my boss, I bet he'll actually be more uncomfortable hearing me say I'm pregnant than me actually saying it. Also, i work with all men, literally, only female in my dept....so spreading the news to the rest of the team is going to interesting. I feel like they already walk on eggshells around my mood swings. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I am dreading this too. I haven't had to say anything since I am off for the summer but I will tell next week. I feel like they are going to start leaving me out of the loop like the last time. Its like being a lame duck at work. I am trying to prepare myself not to care.
