why cant I run on the treadmill??
It must be all in my head but for some reason I can only do like 15 minutes and then any little thing makes me get off
My treadmill is my sils old one and it has to be like 13 years old or older and the belt has to stipped parts so I constantly trip on them and it shakes and the panel doesnt light up at all and the treadmill is in the basement
but DH is working tonight so I cant run outside so I am trying to convince myself to go on the treadmill but I just HATE IT!!!!!!

I have been following this training program and am on week 6 and am having the same problem this week. I love running outside but on the treadmill it is killer. I hope it passes.
I recorded a show to watch while running. I hope it works. Good Luck and try to push thru it

I am the same run. I cannot run on a treadmill to save my life.
I can run 2 miles no prob outside but on the treadmill it is like torture to me.

My treadmill is right in front of a tv - thats my only saving grace. It makes the time go by faster.
I have only run on a treadmill - never outside.

In the warmer weather I would prefer to be outside, but during the winter I use the treadmill. I usually go on it after work and I watch Raymond and friends....It gets me through it

In the words of Nike - just do it. The more you hate it the more it will just bring you down. Try and convince yourself that you like it...focus on the positive. I used to hate a lot of things but I've come a long way. Think about how great you'll feel afterward and just try and push through

Watch a show you really enjoy. I DVR'd a show and watched it while running and it was a great distraction. Try it out.

ITA ! I joined Netflix so I'll rent movies and watch 30-45 minutes a night on the treadmill. A good movie motivates me to get back on so i can see what happens !! Plus its a nice distraction, helps time go by easier.

it's weird.. i'm opposite... i can run on a treadmill but can't run for long on pavement.
it took me a while to even get used to a treadmill b/c I was so used to the precor.
