Why Do I Sabotage Myself?

I do my "official weigh in" on Friday morning. Why am I always STARVING on a Thursday night when I've done so well during the week and want to eat everything in sight?Chat Icon

I'm not doing WW - I'm doing the low carb thing (until I get the weight off and then I'll go back to WW life) - But I drink a lot of hot tea, or once in awhile I'll have a sugar free hot chocolate - ........b/c it's so hot it forces you to drink it slowly, and it deters me from shoveling food in my mouth ! -

It seriously is all mental. Ask youself what are you trying to fill by eating food when you are not hungry? Most people overeat to fill a void or not deal with feelings. Try chewing SF gum at night or brushing your teeth.

I am doing low carb also. I drink a lot of water, and I try to eat a big breakfast, salad and a protien for lunch, and a big dinner filled with veggies, salad and a protien. After dinner, I drink water....or I will slice up a red pepper and snack on that.

It is hard, but I have been finding myself full most days, and I wont even bother eating anything after dinner anyway.

I also gave up soda which I found has helped me stop the bloating feeling you get after meals and has also probably helped me take off some weight.

Are you eating enough on thursday nights??? Maybe you should try eating a high protein/fiber meal for dinner on thursdays so you'll stay fuller longer.
