Why do people have to be so mean?
And just downright vindictive. I am just so upset about this situation i am in with my job and I feel like i am backed into a corner unless I quit.
I told my boss two weeks ago that i will take my vacation days from June 5th-19th then go out on FMLA leave. So technically my last day in th eoffice would have been June 5th. She verbally agreed to it and didtn say anything about getting it approved. Now yesterday she called me into her office saying that she can't grant me my vacation days. What the heck? I was livid but kept my cool.
And the worst thing about it she waited until i handed in my FMLA papers to tell me this when I probably could have gotten them changed by my doctor. So now i am stuck here until June 19th which isnt so bad but I wanted to leave here early b/c of my commute and them not being understanding about that (marking me late etc.)
What a vindictive woman she is and I plan on playing her game. I dont like to stoop to anyones level but she has taken this way to far.
Her excuse was that there are so many changes in the office (b/c we have some key people leaving the organization on June 1st) which is the reason why she cant grant me my vacation days. So what the heck I'm supposed to take on extra work b/c these people are leaving. You are the boss and get paid more than me and can't do your job without me.
She makes me so sick i want to strangle her.

Actually I think you can change your date with FMLA if you get a doctor's note even if you already handed in your paperwork. You know how people go early or are put on bed rest unexpectedly...well they have no choice and the dr. sends them out earlier than planned. If your commute is really rough and you are feeling really uncomfortable perhaps your doctor can come up with a medical reason to sign you out even earlier?

Honestly, that's not YOUR problem that people left.
What if.... (evil thoughts!!!) you call in sick on an off during the time you would have had the approved time off. What could she do? You are PG and not feeling good!

But that would mean she has to come back to work earlier than scheduled too!!

This is exactly what I am thinking of doing. I have 13 sick days left and 10 vacxation days. I will get paid for my vacation days while I am off and my 13 sick days as well. If i can use some of those from June 5th-June 19th that would royally piss her off.

U better bet this is what i will do. My sisters graduation is Juen 6th so i am going to call in then. Then i will call in on June 8th. The following week i will call in one day and on my last day maybe I will call in sick on that day.
I just cant believe how mean peopel can be especially if you dont do anything to thenm. I have been here at this job for 3 years you would think they would be a bit nicer.
