Why do strangers do this...
We went to the bagel store yesterday and a woman we don't know was saying how cute Jesse was and then she touched his face! Why do strangers think it's okay to touch my child - and his skin no less? I know I'm probably overreacting but I hate it when strangers touch him.

I hate it to, I know babies are so cute and it makes people just want to touch them, but it drives me crazy!! I dont mind them touching Julia's leg or foot, but I get so mad when they touch her face and hands! I just say oh please dont touch her hands she puts them in her mouth, or when they go for her face I just back up. I actually got a tee-shirt that says that on it---lol

Oh I totally understand listen my daughter is 20 months and when we go shoping or are out I alwasy have at least one stranger that comes up to me and says oh she is so cute look at those cheeks and touch her. As soon as I walk away I grab a wipe and I wipe her where ever they touched her. I'm sorry you don't know where that persons hands were last.

I guess our babies are just so cute that these strangers want to touch them. I totally understand...I hate it when a stranger comes into Jared's personal space and touches his face. I just back up...

I did the same thing yesterday - as soon as we got to the car, I grabbed a wipe and scrubbed his face!

I was at the food store one day and was wearing jacob in the baby bjorn carrier and he was sleeping..(facing out) and some old lady puts her rickety old finger under his nose and says "looks like he's breathing out his nose".. i'm like, "As long as he's BREATHING!" and i quickly pulled away from her.. wierd people...

If it makes you feel any better, it does get better. Instead, I had my older two kids telling strangers NOT to touch their baby brother/sister in the face because "mommy said that you can only touch feetsies, not hands or face"

Maybe you shoud rent them out to new parents? I couldn't stand when people did that. I'm convinced that was one of the reasons the mosquito netting is so popular.
