why never to shop at linens and things!!
my grandma bought us a vacuum in October. Lets just say we joked that we didnt have a house yet, and grandma wanted to buy us a vacuum. the reason we bought it was because LNT had a rebate that we got a $100 Gift card with a vacuum purchase over $249. Super.
Fast forward to MARCH (was able to buy a house faster than getting the rebate), after numerous phone calls, BBB complaints, etc, I am finally told I will receive my rebate. First they said they never received the paperwork (good thing FH scanned all the docs before we sent it) - then when we complained, the rebate was "closed" and we had to complain to LNT......
NOW I get an email stating "Whoops, we sent you a GC in Canadian$$$, dont use it we will send you another one, in 8-10 weeks!!!"
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Seriously, never buy anythign that has a rebate from LNT, because you'll never get it

I only purchase things with a rebate if I feel that it is a decent buy even if the rebate doesn't come through. I have had too many rebates screwed up and I do not have enough time to follow up on them. It's awful that consumers are enticed by rebates and then companies don't handle them properly.
