Why the heck am I so emotional? Is this normal?
I stopped BF 4 weeks ago. All seemed fine. I switched from the mini pill to regular BCP at that time. Now I am a PMSing, psychotic mess. I just got my first real cycle back after having DS. (I have only had 4 real cycles in over 5 years) Am I just a hormone on the edge? Why can't DH just hug me and not be all 'Oh geez, here she goes again  ' Is this how it's always going to be from now on? Or are the hormones just crazy? TIA!!!!!

It sounds like your hormones are a bit out of whack - it might take a few cycles to get back to normal.

It could be because of your change in BC. I don't have good luck in BC. I say that it brings out the hormones that are deep inside me.
I was on the nuvaring after DD and for a few months was NUTS, went off of it and within a week or two I was fine again.

I stopped nursing about 2 weeks ago although I had been weaning for 2 weeks before that. I am SOOOOO emotional. I cry all the time for everything...sad, happy, angry, whatever. I guess its the hormones but I am ready for it to stop already!

It could be the BCP.....I've had different reactions to different pills...and some have made me crazy. And being that your hormones are diffferent than prepregnancy....you could be reacting differently. Ask you doctor if they can give you something that won't mess with your system as much.
On a side note....I'm still on the mini pill and I stopped BFing months ago....should I have switched to the regular pill???

My OB told me it was only effective if BFing. So, I'd switch unless you want Laila to have a brother or sister soon

If it continues after a few cycles I would talk to the OB. He/She may do some BCP adjustments.
