Wide feet and snow boots

I'm having hard time finding snow boots for DS that come in wide sizes. Does it not matter w/ snow boots?

Have any of you been able to find them?

My son wears extra wide shoes only from stride rite. I was told they do not make "wide" boots, because the shape of the snow boot is wide enough. I bought his snow boots at stride rite because my girlfriend whose son has wide feet said target's brand ran kind of narrow and she had a hard time getting them on/off. I *think* they recommend buying a 1/2 size up like their regular shoes for boots.
