Wierd sensation in my hand
It seems like every night when I wake up to pee or wake up in the morning, my hand feels so stiff. It is only my right hand...anyone else?

Re: Wierd sensation in my hand
If you feel tingling, or numbness then it's most likely CTS.
As for just stiffness, you might just be sleeping on it wrong.
My left is usually just stiff, while my right is numb, stiff and it hurts

It's stiff, numb, tingling...the whole shebang
What can we do for it?

Re: Wierd sensation in my hand
In the beginning, I attributed it to the increase in blood flow. Sometime it can very well just be the swelling and sleeping on it the wrong way.
Once your fingers start to go numb (usually the thumb, index, and middle - but could be all) then you start moving into the possibility of CTS - from what I understand now.

Best advice - get a brace for your hand. Other than that seems like you can't stop it from happening. I got a brace (and have to get another for the other hand) at Target. Nexcare - and it says it's for carpel tunnel.

I am looking into acupuncture right now. I use the braces at night (very attractive BTW ) and they do relieve the symptoms. But it takes a while for my hands to "wake up" in the morning.
