Wii Games for kids
At what age do you think most kids would enjoy game slike sing it or the dance along games. Sydnie is really into music and DH and I disagree about her being almost ready for something like this. I thought of getting her a karaoke machine as her big gift for her second b-day but I feel like a $50 game including the microphone is a better bet.
Do your kids play the fun Wii games and how old are they?

Cailen is 2.8 years old - almost 2.9 (bday in April) and he is JUST showing an interest in games in Wii where he interacts a little with it....

Re: Wii Games for kids
We just got the WII this past week. JAcob loves bowling and baseball but it is a little fustrating for him. He doesn't understand that he can't get a strike everytime. We did buy him 2 Diego games for the WII and he is doing fantastic at it and is having fun. I would highly recommend those games..
Personally, the WII is more for the adults who want to bring out the inner child. My husband and I are having great fun plus we got the WII fit plus and the WII resort is on the way...

Re: Wii Games for kids
DS is 2 and shows NO interest in games like that. He just started showing interest in hand held games but that is because his cousins all have their Ds and DsI.
I think your money might be better spent on a keyboard with a microphone. THat DS LOVES.
I think Wii is more for kids 6+. My brother has 3 kids 8, 6, 3. THe 3 year old shows minor interest because she has her siblings playing.

Re: Wii Games for kids
She might be a little young. My kids are 4.5 and 6 and have been Wii Rock Band addicts for about a year, and it took them a while to get the hang of it. They also like:
baseball bowling Batman Mario Kart and some Nerf game I don't know the name of.
All of those games are for young kids and I think would be too complicated for a 2 year old. We don't have a dance game so I cant speak about that specifically.

Re: Wii Games for kids
My MIL got Wii for Jacob this past xmas, and he can play some games and he just turned 4. He can do bowling, and boxing on wii sports and he does MY SIMS racing rather well too. I bought him a toy story game and its too hard for him. Soo i think wii is also more for like age 5 or 6 and up... some things I cant even do!!

Re: Wii Games for kids
Ryan has no interest in the Wii what-so-ever, he is 18 months.
My nephews were here for a few days (for the New Year).
The 5 and 3 year old LOVED the Wii but the 17 month old had even less interest than Ryan.
eta - we have guitar hero, and while he likes to "pretend" to play the drums, he has no clue what he is doing.

Re: Wii Games for kids
DS 4 and is very good at the Wii games. He plays bowling, tennis, boxing (he beats DH all the time ), archery, rockband, and some other kids games (not sure what they are, he played at my cousins, I know he was jumping and running and stuff). He is also awesome at Xbox Indiana Jones and Batman along with lots of computer games....thanks DH
