Will I scar her for life...UPDATE
We are having a BBQ at the house tomorrow. Our lawn is ginormous and green thumb wannabe DH loves mowing it...but it takes 3 hours.
ANYHOO, I have a gyno appointment (that has been rescheduled 3 times and I was told that I cannot do it again)
Would I scar Bella for life if I took her?
UPDATE:
well, just to update everyone. I had several nightmare scenarios of Bella's precocious questions and statements she can make during and after the appointment...but we needed to get a ton done in a short time.
Dr Greenthumb wound up clipping, hedging, mowing, and lord knows what else on Friday afternoon/evening while I went food shopping, etc. Therefore, I did not take my potential megaphone of information re: private areas with me to the gyno.
Worked out well, and I am glad I avoided it. And thanks to you guys for reinforcing the little voice that was like "um, this could go downhill and quick "
I mean, she still announced at the BBQ that there "was something different about mommy's butt and we should all look at it" so who know's how in depth she would have gone if she had seen a breast exam and a pap smear...throw in a blood test and we have some 3 year old stand-up.
**and to those that asked. YES, DH would and has mowed the lawn at 8:30 am. It takes him about 2/12-3 hours to complete...** I tell him that he is the neighbor I despised growing up.

Re: Will I scar her for life...
I probably wouldn't take Maddie to a gyn appt. I would leave her home with DH. She would play on the far corner of the grass while he mows the other side or he would park her in front of Barbie Mariposa for an hour.
Where is Aunt Kristi?

Re: Will I scar her for life...
First, I'm laughing about your lawn, because I see how much my DH is like yours... He would cut it with scissors if he could to get it the way he wants
I don't think it would be a problem to bring Bella with you. I brought DS with me to almost all my appts when I had to. He sat in his stroller or on the chair and I gave him a book to read or puzzle to do. I had a lollipop in case of a long wait.

At 8 am, I would assume Aunt Kristi will be fast asleep I was nervous about DH mowing the grass with her out there, but maybe it wouldn't be so bad...
I am also worried about my little chatty kathy a. talking to the doc "why you touching mommy's boobies" or b. telling my family that the doc was "playing with mommy's peepee" she has ENOUGH to say to me about my private parts and it usually has a very Beavis sounding hee-hee.

Re: Will I scar her for life...
I just brought Lily with me to my annual appointment last week, but she's only 19 months old, so she didn't really know what was going on. She sat in her stroller watching an Einstein DVD. I think Bella would be much more aware. I don't think you'd scar her, but I would worry about her telling your family all about your appointment. If possible, I would leave her with DH.

DD has been with me, not too recently but when she was able to talk. I guess I don't think it's a big deal. Bring some coloring books and try to keep her busy.

OMG you have me LMAO....
If your DH can handle the lawn and Bella it might be better than the alternative. She's too smart to gloss over the visit...it's will be the event of all events and everyone will have to know.

Will DH really be mowing the lawn at 8:30? Maybe he can wait until you get home to start.

I was thinking the same thing! If your appointment is that early, you might be home by the time DH wants to start mowing!

Dude. If Bella is anything like Alex, in that she watches EVERYTHING and observes inquisitively and asks a zillion questions, unless you're prepared for the aftermath of embarrassing utterations about your private parts, leave her at home!

Na, I take Julia with me most of the time and she just sits in the seat or she walks around the room and talks to the nurse--lol

Re: Will I scar her for life...UPDATE
I see you found a solution, but I don't think it would've been a big deal to take her. They do have a curtain in the room that can be closed so you could've kept her in the stroller on the other side of the curtain. DS went to a few of my OB appointments and sat behind the curtain. Not a big deal at all.
