Will There Be A Show? Mayor of Florence Tells Jersey Shore Cast They Can't Drink in Public
It looks like the Jersey Shore cast will have lots more free time for gym, tan and laundry now that the mayor of Florence, Italy has laid down a few restrictions on their visit to the motherland.
Mayor Matteo Renzi has drafted a set of rules that The Situation and friends will have to abide by when they visit Florence for the show's fourth season, the New York Post reports.
His first three rules target the cast's drinking habits: They can't be filmed drinking in public or in bars or clubs that serve alcohol, and by extension, the show can't be filmed to promote Florence as a drinking town. Furthermore, he's stipulated that the show must be filmed to promote Italy's culture and food, but that the production is banned from filming in the city's historic buildings.
Sorry Snooki, we guess you won't be admiring Michaelangelo's David in the buff, after all. That's okay. He's juiced, but not exactly tan.
The cast recently received a six-figure raise, earning at least $100,000 for their fourth season. MTV has also ordered two spin-offs for Pauly D, and Snooki and JWoww.

Does anyone know when they start filming? We're planning a trip in September and I'd like to avoid them.

Lies. I know you wanna meet up with them. 
This is ridiculous- do they really think Snooki and The Situation are the best people to promote Florence, Italy's culture?!

The only one I'd remotely be interested in saying hello to is Pauly D. He seems to be the nicest and least drama-ridden one. 
eta: but from last season, we know he doesn't like fat old ladies, so there would be no chance anyway.

I have to say, I have no interest in watching them bumble their way through Italy. I don't think they will be hosted very well & it won't make for good TV

Honestly this is ridiculous. THere is no need for them to go to Italy and these rules just show us that Italy won't tolerate their crap. So what else can they possibly do that we might find entertaining?

Agreed! What are they going to do with themselves? And even if they were the most interesting people on earth, I don't really want to watch anyone sight see, ya know?
