will try to keep it short - i have a BUNCH of questions. PLEASE READ

Hi everybody,

I have a bunch of random questions, so i will keep this short...

1. Can anyone recommend a day care? I am interested in part time, and then someday full time. Hopefully on the south shore - anywhere from bayport to seaford-ish. DS is 15 months old now...

2. Does anyone know of a nice, cheap gym that offers day care while you work out? Also on the south shore...

3. Does anyone know of a good dr. I haven't had a doctor since i left my pediatrician - i just go to the walk in.... but i'm getting older and would like a regular doctor. (not really parenting related - sorry!)

4. Does anyone know of any good but cheap or free activities for mommies and toddlers..... or for just toddlers? i will be staying home soon and want to keep me and my DS busy! But we won't have any extra income for stuff like this. I know I will check out the library, but I am looking for more suggestions.

5. DH and I are having some issues.... he thinks DS is poorly behaved... I think he's a normal 15 month old. Can anyone recommend parenting classes, or something like that that might help us?

If you've gotten this far, THANKS for reading!!!!!!! I think those are all of my qeustions... I don't get to come on this site often... so I have to get it all in when I have a few minutes!

I know Lucille Roberts in Massapequa has childcare.

Try some parenting books maybe?? I dont have too many to recommend, but the library should have a lot.

Theres always activites posted on here. I usually look up Long Island Family websites and get hints and tips on where to go.

1. Can anyone recommend a day care? I am interested in part time, and then someday full time. Hopefully on the south shore - anywhere from bayport to seaford-ish. DS is 15 months old now...

a) East Islip: Chatterbox Day Camp and School on Hawthorne Avenue

b) Bohemia: KinderCare on Vets Hwy

2. Does anyone know of a nice, cheap gym that offers day care while you work out? Also on the south shore...

a) Not sure if it's cheap but East Islip Fitness offers free babysitting while you work out. Located on Montauk Hwy

3. Does anyone know of a good dr. I haven't had a doctor since i left my pediatrician - i just go to the walk in.... but i'm getting older and would like a regular doctor. (not really parenting related - sorry!)

a) My doctor is located in Garden City on Stewart Ave. If you are interested FM me and I'll give you info.

4. Does anyone know of any good but cheap or free activities for mommies and toddlers..... or for just toddlers? i will be staying home soon and want to keep me and my DS busy! But we won't have any extra income for stuff like this. I know I will check out the library, but I am looking for more suggestions.

a) Our library has great programs for infants and toddlers every month. Other than going to the park or doing trial classes at gyms, I really can't think of any.

5. DH and I are having some issues.... he thinks DS is poorly behaved... I think he's a normal 15 month old. Can anyone recommend parenting classes, or something like that that might help us?

Titans Fitness in Merrick is pretty cheap and they have baby sitting services available while you work out.
