will you bring your hospital bag and boppy with you right away?
so my bag is 90% packed.
when you thought labor started, did you bring your bag and the boppy in with you right away? or will you leave it in the car and have DH bring it in when you are admitted?
silly question, i know but it's been bugging me.

Re: will you bring your hospital bag and boppy with you right away?
At the last minute I changed my 1 big bag into 2 bags - one for L&D and one for after. There was just too much stuff to carry around, so we left the bag for after (with the boppy) in the car. There was plenty of time when I was in recovery for DH to swap the stuff at the car.

yep, it's all coming with me.
the cord blood package will be in there... so it's important that it comes along for the ride. Frankly, other than the boppy, some undies and pads, and a few outfits, I'm not packing much at all....

We kept the bag and my boppy in the car. DH got it once we were in a room.
DS was a planned c-section so I did not need anything in L&D

I packed a labor bag and a hospital bag that DH can switch when the time comes.

If you BF, you may need it.

Re: will you bring your hospital bag and boppy with you right away?
my labor bag basically has snacks and spare clothes for DH, the baby book for footprints, important phone numbers to call, the cord blood kit, only a few toiletries (toothbrush and toothpaste, lotion, deodorant, etc.), hair ties, warm socks, etc.

Re: will you bring your hospital bag and boppy with you right away?
I didn't bring the boppy...it isn't a huge necessity IMO, I mean I did BF for a bit in the hospital and never needed it but everyone is different. I felt it was better when at home..
They had a hairdryer in the hospital bathroom so although I did bring mine, i never used it.
It's funny, in my experience I brought a bunch of stuff but didn't use most of it. The stay was so quick and between trying to sleep and spending time with DS in the hospital bed, it just went by so fast!
Some necessities for me were
-Gum -Hair ties -brush -toothbrush -comfortable pj's (i don't like gowns so i didn't have one, just long sleeved tee and maternity sweatpants) -slippers -makeup (putting on makeup and doing my hair made me feel so much better, lol!!) -SNACKS. I was so hungry after I had him. I ate like a pig! LOL! -Face wash
I know there is more and I will forward you my list when i get a chance if you want!
