Will your OB prescribe an antibiotic for you while pg if you're sick?
I'm 2 days from my due date and I think it time for me take an antibiotic. I started to feel sick last Friday. I had a sore throat, fever, aches and chills all weekend. I saw my OB on Monday and mentioned it to him and he said that it sounded viral. Yesterday, I started coughing and now I'm coughing up green stuff and it feels like it's in my chest. so question is, do I call my OB? Can he give me meds? I havent seen my primary care doctor in at least 2 years.
I'm so scared of going into labor feeling like this and then possibly infecting her and getting her sick!

I would think your Primary would prescribe it for you, but it never hurts to call and ask.

Your. Ob will. Prob not do it. They will refer you to your primary.

call your primary doctor. I had bronchitis and got antibiotics during this pregnancy.

Yea, I was going to say that your PCP should prescribe it, but it's best if either you or he/she contacts your OB first to make sure whatever they prescribe is safe- especially when you could go into labor at any point!
