Wilson certified tutor

Hi - my 5 year old DS was just added to a multi-sensory class this week. They told me to look for a Wilson certified tutor to work with him over the summer. Does anyone on here offer tutoring, who has this certification? Thank you very much.

Re: Wilson certified tutor

I am trained in FUNdations which is the primary level of Wilson. In my district Wilson is only offered in 3rd grade and above.

Re: Wilson certified tutor

I am certified in the Wilson reading system. (different from fundations which the classroom teacher does) is for students who cannot read or spell well. 5 is a bit young As students dont start Wilson until they are showing significant deficits (usually around 2nd or 3rd grade). It is still normal if a 5 year old is not reading or spelling at all. Fm me... Perhaps i can tutor if you are nearby. Step 1 and possibly 2 might be appropriate or i could review the kindergarten fundations program that was probably done in his class this year. Is he showing dyslexic tendencies?

I am a 3rd grade special education teacher certified in Wilson. I agree that the first step would be Fundations. I am located in S. Nassau if you are interested.
