Window treatment questions
This might be confusing, if so, I can take a pic of what I mean.
If you have two windows, side by side (RIGHT next to each other, touching), do you treat them as one large window, or two seperate ones? For example, can you do something like this (for my daughter's room):
Or should you do a larger single shade (or curtains or whatever) to cover both windows? If I bought those shades above, would I use one long rod? Because I don't think I'd be able to fit two (one above each window).
Thanks!

Re: Window treatment questions
I think it depends on the look that you want. If you want to use the shades and cant fit the two rods above the window, you can use a tension rod in each. This will probably provide a little more privacy than the drapes with one long rod.
I also think that you can use one longer rod and hnag the two shades from it. I am just not sure if they will shift at all...I have never done it that way.

Re: Window treatment questions
I agree with the above poster and I think it depends on the look you want.
I think it might be cheaper to buy 2 smaller shades than 1 large one but I am not sure. Friends of mine did this on all of their windows and you can't even TELL that there are 2 shades up - they just place them at the same length. Looks great
Good luck!

Re: Window treatment questions
I've done it both ways.
For blinds or shades, I think I prefer to have 2 seperate ones to you can raise just one half ( especialy if you put an AC or fan in that windo)
For curtains, I'd put one rod over the 2 windows. We are doing this in our BR, but the window is wide, we may put a panel in between the 2 windows, but it will all be on 1 rod.

Re: Window treatment questions
I think you can do either one. I did that in my last apartment, treated them as one and it looked great.
