Wine & cheese party
Having a few couples over later for a little wine & cheese get together. I've done this before but just looking for a few new ideas or recipes to include. What are your favorite Brie recipes ?

Re: Wine & cheese party
Sound like a great party!
Sweet and Spicy Brie with Pecans Wheel of Brie 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1 cup chopped pecans 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Preheat oven to 350° Cut a very thin slice off the top of the Brie just to remove the rind. Leave the rind on the bottom and the sides of the wheel of cheese. Place cheese in a baking dish just slightly larger than the width of the cheese. Mix together brown sugar, pecans and spices. Sprinkle mixture over top of cheese. You can save any extra mix. Bake just until cheese begins to soften in the center, about 15 minutes. Make sure to check on cheese so that the topping does not get too dark and start to burn. Serve warm with French baguette slices, apple and pear slices, and assorted crackers.

Re: Wine & cheese party
mmm... i like brie with raspberry jam on crostini or dough bits. I also like baked brie with honey and nuts. (during the holidays i do the baked brie with cranberry sauce and nuts). Also brie with fresh figs or fig jam is always delicious.

You can do phyllo cups and just cut the brie in small pieces and top with a little jam. Just bake till the cups are lightly brown and the brie is melty. So good!

I do this also with fig jam and add a few toasted almond slivers on top.

I do the mini Brie bites with phyllo cups like this: seedless raspberry jam on bottom, small cube of Brie on top of that, and then a pecan half in top of that. Bake at 425 degrees for 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

I've had these before, which are the same idea, but I love the idea with the raspberry jam!

I know you already had your GTG, but this is a good one to keep on file for next time!
