Winter Princess Theme party?
I am having a dual party for my sister (36) and my baby girl who is turning 1. They are both Christmas babies, so I wanted to stay away from anything to holiday-like and concentrate more on winter.
My DD's cake is pink fondant with sugar snowflakes and a "1" and my sister's is getting a gift shaped cake with a big bow. Does anyone have any alternate ideas about my sister's cake?
Also, where do I start looking for winter themed decorations? Nothing too crazy...just tiaras for the girls and enough decor so that people get what the party is about.
Thanks...you girls are crazy creative!

Re: Winter Princess Theme party?
Michaels, go crazy with snowflakes, add pink and clear glitter to them.. for centerpieces i would do vases filled with cotton balls and i would glue pink marabou around the edges, and either do flowers inside (pink and white carnations are inexpensive and cute) or balloon bunches (short ones so they look like flowers out of the vase)
I would do a candy table for favors with only pink/white candies..m&m's..white chocolates etc..and i would have pink and whites made up (black and white cookies made with white icing instead of chocolate, any bakery does em) For my baby shower, i had pink and blacks made up (my colors) and they put edible glitter on each cookie, and wrote "Sugar and Spice..." on each cookie in pink icing..and they wrapped them for me pretty..if you need a baker lemme know.. sounds pretty!! k thats it for now, ill think about more!!

Re: Winter Princess Theme party?
i think Party City has fill in ones, they look like princess crowns..or if you want to get creative, you can cut your own out, and print on them..decorate them with lil rhinestones etc.

Re: Winter Princess Theme party?
For the cake would it be possible to do a small and large version of the same cake? With all the wintry princessy stuff the gift box seems a bit anomalous?
For ideas, here's a link amy atlas and click pictures 58 thru 67 for some beautiful wintry desert ideas, so gorgeous (this is a friend of my sister's from college, she quit her law job to open this business and is doing GREAT). This was for a bat mitzvah and her color was lavender but I'm sure you could use Pink for any of these things.
