Wiping your babies hands when you are out...
This might sound like a dumb question but what do you do when you are out and some dumb *** stranger takes your DC's hands or fingers in theirs and you know DC is going to stick that straight into their mouth...
Do you use a regular sanitizer wipe, a "huggies or pampers" wipe...or what?
All I had with me today when this happened was a huggies wipe and I used that but I felt like she was going to be sucking all the stuff off the wipe then as she put her hands back in her mouth when I was finished....
Its just as well I dont carry a gun as I could have taken this lady out today when she grabbed my babies hand....I snatched it back and shrieked " please dont touch her hand"...but the woman just smiled and went about her business......

I use a baby wipe but I don't think I've ever had that happen.

I've actually never had a stranger touch her hands -- just family members...so I've never actually wiped her afterwards -- but we don't have a shopping cart cover or a high chair cover and I usually wipe it down first with huggies wipes -- I don't want to use antibacterial because it might have chemicals. I try not to over-obsess over germs though.

This happens to us all the time!!
What is it with people and touching their hands?!!
I use a baby wipe to clean his hands.

Thanks everyone...It usually happens to us when she is in the baby bjorn and they can get at her hands!!I feel like buying a stun gun....
Its always shop assistants...do they think I will buy something if they paw my child? Its the opposite..I run out of the store the minute they get that "friendly" with my baby...
i am not germ obsessed but it just skeeves me out that a total stranger would grab at my childs hands...even family members dont do that as they know she is chewing hard on her hands right now....whats wrong with her toes??

It doesn't bother me when people touch my baby, heck, I would let the kid eat dirt if it meant that his immune system would be stronger. I don't have a problem with people touching his face or hands...odds are, unless they are old stinky tramps or CLOWNS, they haven't got any communicable diseases.
I love the attention when people admire my baby...so it just doesn't bother me.

I always use a baby wipe. They have pocket sized bottles of Purell. I will use that if I have it handy.
