Wish List for 1st Birthday-Questions
DD is turning 1 tomorrow and her party is in April.
I was going back and forth about a wish list, but decided to make one just in case.
My plan was just to tell people about the list if they asked or wanted ideas for her present. I was not planning to put it on her invites.
My question is-what would the etiquette be regarding wish lists? Is it something you put on an invite? I am inclined to think not to and it is too presumptuous.
Also, someone told me I should put her size on the invites since she is very petite and would not fit into the sizes many babies her age do. Once again, I thought it was inappropriate, but I figured I would get some opinions.
TIA!

Re: Wish List for 1st Birthday-Questions
Definitely don't put it on the invite.
Only tell size if someone asks specifically. Also only mention a wish list if someone specifically asks.
I made a just in case wish list last year for DS's 1st birthday. He got everything off the list.
This year, only 1 person specifically asked for the wish list. No one else asked and I didn't tell anyone.

Re: Wish List for 1st Birthday-Questions
You know, that's a great point about her being more petite than the "average" 1 year old. Hopefully people will ask!
I honestly think it's so silly... me, personally, I appreciate a wish list because many times I really do not know what to get kids for their birthdays. Sometimes I have something specific in mind, great, but most times, I'm in the dark and I hate to get something they either don't want, or already have, or wrong size, or whatever.
BUTTTTT, unfortunately, the correct ettiquete is to not include any of that info in an invite. Just let your parents and those very close to you know in case they get asked (in my family, no one seems to ask me anything; they ask my mom lol).
My BFF put her son's wishlist on the invite. My other friend put "size 4" on her DD's invite last year. I took NO offense either time and appreciated the info. I understand the whole "it's presumptuous" thing and I feel that way for myself - I didn't put DS' wishlist info on his invite and have only told the couple of people that have specifically asked.

Re: Wish List for 1st Birthday-Questions
I would not put it on the invite - but have friends and family spread the word around

Re: Wish List for 1st Birthday-Questions
I LOVE wish lists, but I only told immediate family who asked about it and maybe some close friends.
For sizing, most people give gift reciepts and unless they ask, again, not something I would say or write on an invitation.

Re: Wish List for 1st Birthday-Questions
I just tell people when they ask me what to buy them. I wouldn't put it on an invite.
