Wishing well for bridal shower
Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone had any ideas about either buying a cardboard wishing well for small gifts at a shower or making one... TIA!

Re: Wishing well for bridal shower
My sister was my MOH and her idea was ingenious. She bought this stand up plastic wrapping paper holder and the top was a little bucket that snapped on so it could hold ribbons, scotch tape, scissors, etc. She decorated it with toule and had everyone throw their wishing well presents into it. When my shower was over, the "well" was a useful item as well.
I can't get the pic to work:

My bridal party also made a creative and useful wishing well. Since my "theme" was backyard/bbq, they used styrofoam coolers and stuck metal skewers in top and then draped lace over them to make an "awning." It was very creative, and a big hit.... we also got to use the coolers as the summer went on.
Is there a theme you could run with?

Re: Wishing well for bridal shower
I've seen it done using a broom, a mop, a tall laundry hamper and then a laundry basket. Turn the basked upside down and place it on top of the mop and broom, then put them inside the hamper (which is right side up) and connect them with tulle/tape. It's so adorable!! Then you can embellish it with tulle and ribbon and whatever you want to. And the best part is that everything you made it with can be used! HTH!

Re: Wishing well for bridal shower
My MOH actually bought a wooden well (like you would use on the lawn or in garden) so that we could put it in our yard after.

i like this idea a lot!
my mom took a HUGE basket that had handles and bought different types of ribbon in my colors (pink and green). some was satin, some was sheer, some different widths... she strung it thru and she also had bows everywhere. it was SUPER CUTE! i loved it and i got to keep the basket afterward!
