With all of this talk about Doctors
I am starting to get confused about mine.
I am sorry to say that I didn't have benefits for a while, but we now have benefits through my DH job. We also moved so my previous doctor is out of the question (45 minutes away). I have only been to the new one once. I am not sure if I should just stay with this doctor, I didn't feel the comfortable with her. Meaning - I felt like I was in and out of there. She did have a consultation, but it really wasn't that long. Do you think that I should try a new doctor? If so, could any of you give me any suggestions on a new doctor? I live in the Centereach area, so someone in that surrounding areas would be great. Thanks in advance girls! I appreciate it.

Well if you dont feel 100% comfortable then I would check out another doctor. You should feel 100% comfortable and feel like they care about you. I dont know if you would be interested in seeing an RE, but RSofNY (where many of us go) have an office in Stonybrook too.

Re: With all of this talk about Doctors
I know I am full of questions lately, at this point it is probably better that I see a RE, instead of a OB/GYN, right? Since we have been trying for a while now and nothing. I just feel that I just started seeing a new OB/GYN and she really doesn't know anything about me, since I am not familiar with anyone that I should see an RE. What do you girls think?

Re: With all of this talk about Doctors
how long have you bee trying? They usually recommend at least a year if you are over 30-35. I waited 9 months,a nd my gyno referred me to a RE. I would suggest going ahead and finding a RE. lots of luck

Re: With all of this talk about Doctors
We were TTC less than a year when we went to the RE (I'm 32). Glad I did because I have some obstacles to overcome.
You could start with RSofNY, they have been great.

Re: With all of this talk about Doctors
I am 32 - will be 33 in November. I am in my 9th month of trying we will see in less then 2 weeks if it worked this month. I think if it did not I will contact an RE. Do any of you girls use the RSofNY out here in Setauket/Stonybrook?

I use East Coast Fertility, and they do have a site in E. Setauket, W. Islip and Plainview.

Re: With all of this talk about Doctors
I go to RSofNY in Mineola because Stonybrook is too far for me.
