My guess (and it's just that - a guess) is that bottom will be close to 6,000...
It's going to take time for the market to correct itself.

I think the Dow is close to -20% this month. It closed down 5% today at 7552.

If I knew, I would be about to make billions!!!! I do, however, know where the next 10,000 pt move will go.
Citigroup had a lot to do with the sell off. There was a lot of margin calls since the stock dropped below $5. The automakers aren't helping either.

I hope that it doesn't go below 7000 - that would be a 50% loss...that's more than a correction!

 Is what I want to do everytime our investment statement comes. Hopefully, we will be seeing the bottom soon. I agree with Kara, I think it will be close to the 6,000 mark which is mighty low.

My uncle hasn't opened his in about 3 months. My mom stopped opening them this month

I know someone that is an insider, so far he has predicted each fall & rise exactly....I'm amazed & horrified at the same time. He claims to have earned 500k in one month by selling short.
He claims there is a big chance the dow will crash to under 1000 within 12 months.
My boss & I just decided to invest some money with him ( not a very large amount) to see if he is as good as he seems.
