Wolly (King) needs a home!
My friend was one of the people who took this dog in, unfortunately she has other dogs and could not keep him. If you are interested or know anyone who would be please let me know.
Wolly (formerly known as King) is a French Mastiff Staffordshire Terrier mix. His previous owner physically abused and neglected him. Wolly was beaten with a baseball bat and had bleach thrown in his face. Wolly was denied access to food, water and time outside and was living in a house full of urine, feces, mice and insects. Thankfully Wolly's neighbors noticed the deplorable conditions and assisted by providing Wolly with food, water and walks when his owner was not home. Despite his deplorable and abusive living conditions, Wolly welcomed those helping him with tail wagging excitement. Wolly's owner was finally evicted and rather than having him live on the streets he was taken to a local animal shelter. Unfortunately, Wolly has not adapted to the stress of living in the shelter causing him to loose a substantial amount of weight (20 lbs) and hair. Wolly was once a very energetic tail wagging dog who now has no interest in going on walks or playing fetch.
Please foster and/or adopt Wolly to help him regain his positive and playful attitude.

Wolly's story breaks my heart :( He looks like my Casey girl, i hope someone can adopt him!

Ugh! Poor guy, my heart breaks for him. I really hope someone can give him his forever hom real soon!

I know, me too! They have gotten alot of calls about him but everyone who calls has dogs and since he has such a horrid past they really want him to be an only child. You just don't know how he will react to other dogs.

ugh if he was able to go with other dogs i would talk DH into taking him!!!

Just wanted to update that he is in a shelter called Bobbi and the Strays located in Freeport. They are looking for a pet free home for Wolly, which is why they are struggling to find a forever home.

I'm glad that he is with Bobbi and the Strays though...I've heard wonderful things about them, and I know that they are really no-kill.
