Women, minorities, and LGBT make history!
So many firsts for the U.S. this election!
Over 100 women elected to congress and other offices! So many states put out for first time ever African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, Muslims, Jewish, gay, lesbian, like eight EIGHT! transgender candidates!
Even in conservative red states like Texas, trolls like Cruz should've won by a landslide but they didn't which says a lot.
It's like people feel that angry hateful little old white men don't represent them anymore

I have hope. I am positive today. This is the America that is Great to me. I will celebrate with my biracial daughters who have been feeling unsettled due to current events the last couple of years.
Nazis and racists and hate do NOT belong in this country or anywhere else.
We will Make America Kind Again!

Do you really think Nancy Pelosi is good for the Democratic Party? Or America? I am amazed anyone keeps her around. California is a total mess! While I am happy so many woman got elected I worry that people like Maxine Waters could do major damage to the economy.

I am adding Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezo the list as well. While I would love to see more young people in politics, I don’t think this one has any clue what she won!

As someone who knew Crowley personally, she is the best thing that could happen to that area of Queens.
Also, young people in politics will, for the most part, be more left leaning. Though I did just read an article on "the trumpiest congressional districts" in the country and they're all in the middle of nowhere except for....well, I don't need to make you guess. Maybe some of the bros who pee in the aisle of the 2am babylon line train will run for office.

Why is Nancy Pelosi so vilified?
She has been amazingly effective as Speaker. She has gotten a lot of legislation passed - Affordable Care Act, Financial Stimulus, etc.
You may not agree with the legislation - but to cast her as some sort of villain is insane to me. She is better than anyone at getting the votes.

I know nothing about NP. BUT i happened to have the tv on all day yesterday after the election. If you compare DT to her just in those 2 press conferences alone - well my kids can tell who the better person is.

Maybe its because my kids are teens now - I get excited about young ppl in politics they have fresh ideas and are our future. Get the old white guys’ out. I love some old white guys too but its time lol

I absolutely agree. I'm saying that young people tend to be more left leaning so if you want young and right leaning (this poster appears to be more right) you won't have many options. However, the eastern half of LI is trump country so you might be able to find some young republicans there.

I don’t mind that she is a Democrat and I applaud her enthusiasm but she couldn’t answer any questions on how her plans could happen. Her answer always was, “we will just pay for it”. We need really smart young people on all sides to get involved.
It is like the Social Security debate. Even if SS has been managed effectively through the years (we know it hasn’t) it would eventually run out of money. The basic math doesn’t work yet people want to blame it on one side or another. They don’t take the time to look at the logistics. This woman has great ideas (a little socialist for me) but has no clue how it can happen. I will be curious to see how her career goes.
To the quoted poster, I am not exactly who you are implying with the bros on the Babylon line.
