Wondfos? Sorry, long

Sorry for posting under the fake name. I just need to vent and get opinions I guess. On sunday I got the faintest positive on a wondfo, like squint and turn it every which way but it was there. I had a chemical a few months ago so I'm very nervous and am under a lot of stress right now so I know that won't help things. Yesterday I was hoping for a more definitely line, dipped two wondfos (yes I'm crazyChat Icon) in the same sample. One was a better line and the other was still that barely there line. That only added to my anxiety and I couldn't wait to test again this morning hoping it would darken but it didn't. I waited four hours and got a first response rapid result (thought it was frer till I got home) and it's clearly positive but dipped two wondfos in the same sample and still the faintest of lines even after waiting extra. What gives? I am a ball of nerves, DH doesn't want to get his hopes up again and I know it's still early- today is 11 or 12dpo. Do the wondfos take a long time to show a dark result. I used them a few years ago and never had issues but now I'm reading about evap lines and false positives but also false negatives and it taking weeks for them to darken. I guess I'm just looking for other people's experiences and to get all these hesitations out a little. I just don't know what to think!

I would go out and get a FRER, NOT the rapid results. I HATE Wondfo's, personally. I know a lot of girls on here like them, but I can't stand them. I've never gotten even the slightest of lines with them. Wait another day or two, get FRER, test with FMU. Good luck!

The first response rapid results aren't supposed to be accurate until AF is actually due, so if you got a bfp on that - i'd go with that. I never got dark 2nd line on wondfo when pregnant with DD. It just never happened. Wondfos can be very moody.

Thanks girls. Yeah, the rapid result says not to use it until AF is due so I wasn't sure if that wouldn't be accurate- either not sensitive enough or false positive. Either way I don't know what to think of it. I checked reviews on amazon but there were very few on that rapid result.

I also have a digital. I've never used those before bc I thought you had to wait longer and by then I figure I know one way or another. Should I try that tomorrow or wait until AF is due to try that? I keep trying these stupid wondfos bc I now hate them and figure I might as well use them and get RID of them. Never buying them again!

No such thing as a false positive, those are chemicals....

Wait a few more days for the digital and def use FMU. Digital tests are not nearly as sensitive (like needing 50+ for hcg before they register).

From my experience with my first, I got a + on a digital before the wondfo stick. I was actually over 5 weeks and there was barely a line.

I think I need to just put away the wondfos and try with all my might to wait a few days to test again with the frrr or digital. The older ones were so reliable but now they're just horrible.

First of all, congrats! I have gotten multiple BFPs on wondfos and in two instances i got very early BFPs (10dpo) and the lines were barely visible. They also varied from test to test. But, they did trend darker eventually. I also dipped multiple tests in the same pee and sometimes had a ton of variation. Remember, they are super cheap and super sensitive but they are only supposed to tell you yes/no and different tests can have different amounts of dye.

I think its a great sign that you got a BFP on another test. And, I probably used 8 wondfos the day of one of my BFPs. But, I would try to test morning and night with a good hold and just try to distract yourself. And maybe go for a beta. They should tend to trend darker, but might not be noticeably darker until a few days have passed. The difference between HCG of 20 and 30 is a lot less obvious than the difference between 50 and 100 or 100 and 200.

Edit: with my chemicals my tests got noticeably lighter.

The color of the line doesn't matter. I just got a confirmed BFP and was a testing maniac. Some days the line was darker than others. It really depends on how much dye is in the test. Like PP said, it's a cheap test, the amount of dye in each one varies.

Congrats!

I tested with a wondros on wed and there was no line. A half hour later I tested with Frer and it was positive.
