wood bay window ?
Ok so we are in the process of redoing the living room. The walls are done and DH and FIL put the crown moldling and basebord, both white. My question is they want to leave the bay window medium wood and I'm not sure how that's going to look??? Does anyone have this and do you have pics? The whole window is wood...the molding, shelf part and in between the windows. They say if we paint it white to match we can't ever go back to wood if we want. My coffe tables are going to be wood so they say it's ok. HELP!!!

Re: wood bay window ?
Hmmm...I would probably paint it. all of the window moldings in the house we hope to buy are also a medium brown. It is very pretty, but I think that I am going to paint them. I think the wood gives the place a country look and that is not my style.

Re: wood bay window ?
I could only find these 2. I'll try to remember to take a better pic and send it. We left it natural. We stained it Ipswitch Pine and pollyed it like 5x!
We are doing the french doors that are directly across from the window the same and the sliding glass doors that as well. You could always paint it if you don't like it natural.

Re: wood bay window ?
My crown, base moldings and baseboards are white. I plan on staining my window moldings (I have a 5 and 3 panel window in the living ad dining rooms and one big bow in the kitchen) to match the furniture color. I haven't done it and I had my windows installed like 3 years ago though...lol....but Dh started the process this weekend. My window treatments and furniture cover most of the casements so it wasn't a big issue. My bow is in my kitchen and I am having it redone now so no pictures.
Right now they are still the natural wood color like below - but we plan to stain a cherry wood color. I only have a picture of the casements - not the best but you see the crown and baseboards and the window in it. Here is a picture I have before window treatments and before finishing decorating.
