wood floors in master bedroom
if you have woodfloors in master bedroom, do you have an area rug under the bed ?
I'm toying with this idea. But am soo indecisive.
TIA!
Pics would be great too!

Re: wood floors in master bedroom
We have an area rug. I LOVE wood floors, but I like my feet touching carpet first thing in the morning. I know, I'm funny that way.

Re: wood floors in master bedroom
I didn't put one under the bed, I though it would be a waste, b/c most of it would be covered. I also couldn't vaccuum it. I can however, fit my dust mop under the bed to dust the hardwoods.
I did put an area rug on the other side of the room to balance it out, sic enit is long & make it a little warmer.

Re: wood floors in master bedroom
We just have hardwoods..no rugs..but I'd like something on one side..to even it out. But I would make sure it was small and doesn't go under the bed.

Hardwood floor, no rug.
I did want a little one to put my feet on but realized it would've looked stupid. I keep my slippers next to my bed so they act as my rug.

Re: wood floors in master bedroom
We have one under the bed and it comes out a bit on both sides and extends in the front just to our dresser. We're in an old apartment so the floors creaked too much without it and I'd wake DH up every morning as I was getting ready.

Re: wood floors in master bedroom
we have hardwoods & no area rug...I originally wanted one bc I grew up with carpeting. I can honestly say our floors are not cold in the am & I don't think we will be getting the area rug anymore

Re: wood floors in master bedroom
we have hardwood without a rug DH's allergies are alot better since we moved to a bedroom without carpeting.
Our old apt. had wall to wall and he was really allregic to the dust.
I may look for a synthetic area rug in the future, but for now it's not bad since the floors aren't so cold.

Re: wood floors in master bedroom
yes and there are pics in my album. I like it this way. Personally I am not a fan of wall to wall carpet although there are a few exceptions to my rule of not wanting it, and the bedroom is one exception. If I did have wall to wall though i would have to have a neutral color, like beige, and I wouldnt want plush carpet.
