Has anyone had or attended a function there? If so, what did you think?

My mother lives there, so I have been to brunches and dinners, nothing fancy though. It has always been nice.

I only know of the Woodlands in Woodbury (by the Golf Course) which I think happens to be a pretty fancy place. Never heard of the one in Melville though? Where is it exactly?

It's on the Greens golfcourse in Melville. I'm not exactly sure, I haven't been there yet.

I had my wedding reception there in April '07. The Woodlands hadn't taken it over yet at that point yet - But my wedding was beautiful, elegant and the food was amazing.
Again, it was a different catering company running it then, but I know the Woodlands in Woodbury has a great reputation so I would think the food now would be on that level.
As far as the atmosphere and look of the place, they dressed it up beautifully and the cocktail hour was so nice being both inside and also having an outdoor patio/balcony area.
