Woohoo! He's finally legal!
Well, 3 years later, loads of paperwork and LOTS of moola, and hubby just got in the mail today official word that he is LEGAL - no more conditions on his immigration status - and a nice, beautiful green card is on the way.
Onto citenzhip baby! 
Wait, does this mean he can finally leave me?

Excellent! Congrats to the both of you 
Does he have to wait before he's eligible to apply for citizenship? DH had to wait, and now of course, all of the fees have gone up

congrats! that's really great.
once he gets his green card---in 3 years he can file for citizenship thru your marriage and that is mostly just paperwork and an interview. (make sure you guys do your taxes together the next few years!)
glad he made it thru to the green card. that process is much tougher than citizenship
