Work Bathroom Stalls
OK, we all have our favorite stall - or I do, #2. But if someone is in #1 (right next to #2) then out of courtesy and for more privacy I go to stall #4. My question is - when given the choice, do you choose the stall away from people or go right next to them?
For ex. i was in my stall (2) and someone came in and went to 1 - it felt a little too close for me, I like my space and not being able to hear the person next to me breathe.

Re: Work Bathroom Stalls
It depends. If someone is in stall #2 and stall #4 is a handicapped bathroom, I will go in #1 or #3. I don't like the handicapped bathrooms. The seat is too high for me!!!

Re: Work Bathroom Stalls
All the gross women who leave evidence behind use stall #1, closest to the door, so I never use it.
Stall #3 is the poopie stall.
So if it's a quick trip, I'm in #2, no matter who is around.

I always try to go in one as far away from other people.
Me too.
When there are several stalls to choose from I think it's an invasion of personal space to pick the stall right next to the only other occupied stall. I try to be respectful of my other bathroom-goers.

Re: Work Bathroom Stalls
Oh yeah, I don't go in the one closest to the door either. Weird, but I think that one has the most "traffic" so I stay away from that one.
And the last stall, furthest from the door, I think of as the poopie stall, so I don't go in that one either.

Re: Work Bathroom Stalls
I don't really put that much thought into it, I usually just pick the closest available stall.

Re: Work Bathroom Stalls
I always try to stay as far away as I can from others. Our stall at work has only 3 and it's a very small BR so I will actually leave if I know someone "needs their privacy" so to speak .

My question is - when given the choice, do you choose the stall away from people or go right next to them?
Always give them privacy because I want my own. I hate it when someone goes next to me and there were plenty of other options.

Re: Work Bathroom Stalls
this is a topic I have a lot to say about..
I spend a lot of time in the john so to speak..(don't ask)
I try to go in one that is farthest away from someone else but that's not always a choice.
I will go into the first stall because believe it or not that is the stall least used. People naturally gravitate toward the middle stall or the second one (if clean looking enough)
Either way, toilet seat covers, toilet paper the seat and courtesy flushes are my public bathroom coping methods.
Little spray can of nice smelling stuff can't hurt either.
Ok, that's my story.

Re: Work Bathroom Stalls
This is so funny, b/c I think about this everytime I go in the bathroom at work.
I always use stall #4...For some reason, I just do.
However, if someone is in #3, I go for # 1, so that i'm not peeing right next to them.
It's a huge peeve of mine is someone goes into the stall next to me if there's a further one open.

Re: Work Bathroom Stalls
As a guy, I also don't like "neighbors". If all the stalls are empty, I always choose one against a wall. I figure, that way, worst case scenario I'll have one person next to me. If I pick a stall with stalls on both sides, there's the chance of having two neighbors... It works the same for the urinals... I hate it when someone uses the one right next to me, especially if there are other empty ones available....
