Work said I can go down to 4 days for the summer but...

I don't know how to ask DH. We can def do it financially but I know he is not going to be happy with this.

During the summer it is slow and the entire month of August our Office etc in Italy is closed.

I know he is going to freak out and think that they are doing bad and are eventually going to let me go but that is not the case. He doesn't understand how my company works.

I have no idea how to approach him about it.

I am sooo excited because I can pick the day I want to be off and rotate it and I get to be with Andrew!!!!

I guess I am just venting and also by writing it trying to get enough courage to tell DH.

I would just explain to DH that things are slowing down because it is not a "prime" season for you. Your boss is allowing you to work 4 days a week & you can rotate the days you want to work. Also, tell him the office in Italy is closed for the month of August which limits the amount of work that is there for you to do. It will give you more time to spend with Andrew & that is one less day anyone else will have to watch him. Explain that once September comes, you will be back to your 5 days....

Sounds great! As far as talking to DH, I would explain it to him just how you explained it to us and emphasize that its just for the summer/off season and in the fall you will go back to 5 days a week.

Tell him they're offering you "summer fridays" or the same concept.
